Fabrication Supervisor

Applications are invited for the above position of Fabrication Supervisor to manage the newly restructured Fabrication department.

Skills and qualifications required are that the applicant shall have completed a time served apprenticeship in an appropriate fabrication related discipline. It is likely that individuals will have at least 3 years’ supervisory experience to be successful in their application.

Main duties to include:

•Ensure that production schedules are adhered to and report any issues to the Production Manager. Provide technical assistance to the Production Planning and Engineering where problems occur.
•To ensure that all personnel perform their duties in a timely and efficient manner. To report any issues and recommendations to the Production Manager.
•Ensuring that standards are achieved and that employees are fully trained and equipped to achieve to an agreed standard.
•To ensure that all employees, contractors and visitors within the area of the job holders control, work and operate in a safe manner under the requirements of the Health & safety at Work Act.
•Within the Fabrication department the supervisor shall, through his/her operatives, be responsible for accurate recording of material movements and stock control.
•To co-operate fully with Management on all continuous improvement and Lean activities.
•Perform other tasks as deemed necessary, which may not be covered in the above list provided such requests are reasonable.

SALARY
Circa £21,500 depending on experience.
The position carries company benefits, including a company sick pay scheme and a contributory pension scheme.
